Aderna Campano Obituary

Woonsocket -  Aderna Campano, 97, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 in the Woonsocket Health Centre with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of the late Joseph J. Campano. 

Born in Woonsocket, daughter of the late Primo and Emma (Tarini) Volpini.

Aderna worked for many years as a Waitress for numerous restaurants in the area to include; Chappies Supper Club, Dalastas, Vermettes, and the Cottage Club. She was a former member of the Marchigano Club. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, her time at the beach, and loved traveling to Virginia to visit with family. Aderna was a people person and was known for being the life of the party. 

She is survived by her two children, Ronald J. Campano and his wife Deborah of Bellingham, MA and Theresa Campbell and her partner George Hedquist of Woonsocket. Six grandchildren, Bryan, Christopher, and Lee Campano, Tracy Caisse, Jenna Callahan, and Dana Campbell. Eleven great-grandchildren, Isabella, Madison, Noah, Jacob, Brody, Cohen, Kaelin, Ashton, Julianna, Evan, and Olivia. 

She was also the sister of the late Zita Roberts and Vee Young. 

A Funeral Home Service will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at 11:30 AM in the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd Woonsocket, RI 02895. Relatives and friends are invited; calling hour will be from 10:30-11:30AM prior to the service. Burial will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Aderna's name would be appreciated.
