Alderic Therrien Jr. Obituary

Lincoln - Alderic R. Therrien Jr., 90, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 9, 2024, at the Hope Hospice Hulitar Center, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Claire (Foisy) Therrien of Lincoln.

Born in Woonsocket, Alderic was the son of the late Alderic R. Therrien Sr. and Delia (Roberts) Therrien. He and Claire spent most of their lives in Woonsocket before moving to Atria Lincoln Place in 2023.

Alderic worked as a chemist for many years, serving as the plant manager for Olin Hunt Corp. before retiring. After his retirement, he continued his professional career as a chemical consultant for CNC Chemical Corp. in Woonsocket for 15 years.

A devoted fan of the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox, Alderic also had a passion for walking, often covering 6-7 miles a day regardless of the weather. When walking became difficult, he remained active by going to the gym six days a week. Sundays were reserved for attending Mass at St. Joseph’s Church, where he had served as an usher for many years. He cherished time spent with family and friends, and after moving to Atria, he formed many new friendships and enjoyed discussing sports with fellow residents.

In addition to his wife Claire, Alderic is survived by his two daughters: Janice Tripodi and her husband James of Harrisville, and Karen Therrien of Fall River. He was the proud grandfather of Joshua, and his fiancée Sara LaWare, Jeremy and his husband Tim Shiner, and Justin. Alderic also leaves behind four great-grandchildren: Elissa, Julia, Joel, and Jayla.

He was predeceased by his son, Marc Therrien.
