Andre Provencal Obituary

Woonsocket — Andre G. Provencal 88, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 23, 2021 with his loving family by his side. He was the husband of the late Olive B. (Sheehan) Provencal.

Born in Woonsocket, son of the late Norman and Delima (St. Onge) Provencal.

Mr. Provencal worked for the state of RI Board of Elections and also as a Truck Driver for Sunoco for several years.

Andre enjoyed spending time with family and friends especially his grand and great-grandchildren. Andre was a very caring and warm hearted person who always had a smile for everyone. He also enjoyed working out at the gym.

He is survived by one daughter, Sandra Patnaude and her husband Michael of Woonsocket,. Two grandchildren, Allen Patnaude and his wife Amanda of Cumberland and Sarah Cloutier and her husband Jason of Woonsocket. Two great-grandchildren, Allyson and Adelyn. He is also survived by two loving and caring friends Derrek Edmonds and his wife Lori of West Warwick. Several nieces and nephews.

He was also the brother of the late Roger Provencal.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, April 19, 2021 at 10 AM in St Joseph Church 1200 Mendon Rd Woonsocket, RI 02895 followed by burial in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are invited; calling hours are on Sunday, April 18 2021 from 3~5 PM in The S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill RD. Woonsocket, RI 02895.
