Obituary

Woonsocket - Barbara Ann Papineau, 85, passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 in the Friendly Home. She was the wife of the late Adelard Papineau. 

Born in Woonsocket, daughter of the late Romeo and Wanda (DiSanti) Wood. 

Barbara was a CNA at the Woonsocket Health Centre for several years prior to retiring. 

She enjoyed decorating cakes, crocheting, spending time with family and friends, and cooking. Barbara was a homebody. 

She is survived by one son, Steven Papineau of Millville. Two sisters, Nancy Gruman of Ohio and Claire Layton of Iowa. Three grandchildren, Melissa, Angela, and Matthew. Six great grandchildren, Brianna, Juliana, Kiara, Jesse, Tori, and Storm. 

She was also the mother of the late Dennis Papineau and Laurie Santucci. And step sister of the late David Petty. 

Her services were private. The S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket, RI 02895 is in charge of the arrangements.
