Beatrice M. Farquhar

Woonsocket - Beatrice M. (Lapoint) Farquhar, 92, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 26, 2025 in Hope Hospice with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of late Gerald Farquhar and the late Edward Malenfant. 

Born in Woonsocket, daughter of the late Rudolph and Bertha (Pouliout) Lapoint. 

Beatrice was Homemaker. She enjoyed BINGO, drawing, hosting holiday parties, and taking occasional trips to the casino. She loved to cook for everyone and enjoyed sitting in her yard with family and friends. 

She is survived by her nine children, Geraldine Farrow and her husband Robert of Woonsocket, JoAnne Harmon and her husband Dennis of Woonsocket, Gerald “Butch” Farquhar of Pascoag, Ethel Fournier of Wakefield, Jayne Farquhar of Bellingham, Jean Farquhar of Woonsocket, Jenny Laplant and her husband Michael of Woonsocket, Mark Farquhar and his fiancé Jody of Pascoag, and Jodie Farquhar of Woonsocket. Twenty four grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren. And several nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

She was also the mother of the late Donna Gaffney and Gerard Farquhar and sister to the late, Bud, Donnie, William, Rudolph, Donald, Ethel Fontaine, and Emily Barrows. 

A Funeral Home Service will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025 at 11 AM in the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket, RI 02895. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Farm St. Blackstone, MA. Relatives and friends are invited; calling hours are on Thursday, January 30, 2025 from 5-7 PM.
