Woonsocket - Betty Ann (Dakin) McCloud, 76, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025 in the Holiday Retirement Home. She was the wife of Lee A. Hatch of Woonsocket.
Born in Bronx, NY., daughter of the late Arthur and Diana B. (Riendeau) Dakin.
Betty worked as a Nurses Aide for the Woonsocket Health Centre for several years prior to retiring.
She enjoyed BINGO, taking occasional trips to the casino, loved spending time in P-Town, and she loved to dance and was known as Disco Betty. She also enjoyed playing cards with her girlfriends.
Besides her husband Lee, she is survived by her three children, Christine Dakin of Woonsocket, Joseph Dakin of Storrs, CT., and James Dakin and his wife Ashley of Sterling, CT. One sister, Carol Fredrich of Wisconsin. Nine grandchildren, Jeremy, Joseph, Nina, Brittany, Damion, Savannah, Julius, Dalton and Braiden. Three great grandchildren, Jack, Janiah, Nevaeh.
She was also the sister of the late Diana Joyce.
A Funeral Home Service will be held on Saturday, April 5, at 5:30 PM in the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket, RI 02895. Relatives and friends are invited; Calling hours are from 4-5:30 PM.
