Woonsocket — Bruce V. Plante, 70, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 in the Hope Hospice in Providence with his family by his side. He was the husband of Claudette (Champagne) Plante of Woonsocket.
Born in Woonsocket, son of the late Maurice and Pauline (Menard) Plante.
Bruce worked as a Painter for Bryant University for 35 years prior to retiring.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, BINGO, playing cards, fishing, camping, playing dominos, puzzles, and teasing everyone. He was an avid baseball and football fan.
Besides his wife Claudette, he is survived by two daughters, Tammy Cote and her husband Jeremy of North Smithfield and daughter Sherri. Four grandchildren, Zachary, Chloe, Caiden, and Haley. Several nieces and nephews. And his three grand-pups, Brady, Stewart, and Marley.
He was also the brother of the late Sandra Carpentier, Brenda McKenna, and Wayne Plante.
A Celebration of Bruce’s Life will be held at a later date. The S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd., Woonsocket, RI 02895 is in charge of the arrangements.
