Carmella DiCandia Obituary

Lincoln — Carmella E. DiCandia, 88, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 20, 2024 in the Holiday Retirement Center with her family by her side.

Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Louisa (Vittorelli) Di Candia,

Carmella worked as a Certified Nurses Aide for Landmark Medical Center in Medical Surgical for 20 years, in the Nursery for 20 years and also Landmark Rehabilitation Hospital until retiring in 1998.

She enjoyed reading, cooking for the holidays, spending time with family and friends, and caring for others.

She is survived by her sister Anne Remillard of Woonsocket and many nieces and nephews.

Carmella was the sister of the late Thomas, Frank, Victor, Neil, and Mario DiCandia, and Joanne Buono.

Burial will be at St. Charles Cemetery at the DiCandia family plot. Burial and memorial services will be organized at a date to be determined by the family. Friends may contact Carmel’s nephew, Ron Remillard at ronrem4@gmail.com for further information.
