Woonsocket — Charles E. DiChiaro Sr. 73, passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2023 in Landmark Medical Center.
Born in Providence, son of the late Ernest and Evelyn (Trembley) DiChiaro.
Charles was a Master Plumber and was Owner & Operator of Charley’s Place and was also the Owner & Operator of the former Charley’s Rooter Service. He was a former Music teacher in Cranston teaching piano and accordion.
He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Charles was a great dad, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He loved to entertain everyone either with his great personality or by playing his piano, accordion, and organ. He also enjoyed his motorcycle and boating. He was an animal lover, he loved his cats, and especially his canine companion who passed away, Fritz.
He is survived by his three children, Charles DiChiaro Jr. of Mapleville, RI., Marnie and her husband Robert Deschamps of Montana, and Slade DiChiaro of Arizona. One sister, Cheryl Contillo and her husband Michael of Glocester, RI. His brother-in-law, James Oliver of North Providence. Nine grandchildren, Joshua, Brandon, Benjamin, Jack, Dillon, Baker, Devyn, Truman, and Dashel.
He was also the brother of the late Janice Oliver.
A Funeral Home Service will be held on Friday, September 15, 2023 at 6:30 PM in the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket, RI 02895. Relatives and friends are invited; calling hours are from 4-6:30 PM. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Cat Sanctuary 266 Mendon Rd. Woonsocket, RI 02895, in his Charley’s memory would be appreciated.
