Charles L Shea

Blackstone — Charles L. Shea, 83, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 in the Old Fellows Home in Worcester, MA. He was the husband of Yvonne M. (Duquette) Shea of Blackstone., MA.

Born in Blackstone, son of the late Francis and Agnes (McCool) Shea.

He was a United States Air Force Veteran.

Charles worked as a bartender for the Millville Men’s Club and other bars in the area. He also worked at Walmart prior to retiring.

He enjoyed playing pool, gambling, playing cards, especially pitch and belonged to a local Cribbage League. He was an avid sports fan, enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and loved making jokes to make people laugh.

Besides his wife Yvonne he is survived by his children, Linda Shea of Woonsocket, Karl and Neil Hanson both of Woonsocket, Keith Hanson of Wrentham, MA., Chad Hanson and his wife Lissett of NC and Sherri Huckstable and her husband Robert of Lincoln, RI. Twelve grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

He was also the brother of the late Raymond, Francis, and Robert Shea.

A Funeral Home Service will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 4:30 PM in the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket, RI 02895. Relatives and friends are invited; calling hours are from 3-4:30 PM prior to the Service.
