Clara A. Gaffney

Woonsocket - Clara A. (Jones) Gaffney, 82, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 in the Woonsocket Health Centre with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of the late Howard Gaffney. 

Born in Union County, South Carolina daughter of the late Hilard and Annabell (Jetter) Jones. 

Clara was a Homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, gardening, and going for walks. She was an avid shopper, especially at Walmart. She was the best sweetest mom ever. She was also a die-hard Green Bay Packers fan. 

She leaves behind her three children, Shirley Gaffney of Woonsocket, Howard Gaffney Jr. of Woonsocket, and Marlene Nealy and her husband Alphonso of Woonsocket. Three sisters, Bertha Mobly of SC, Marry Anne Byrd of SC, and Lou Jean Thomas of SC. Five grandchildren, Tyrell, Tasha, Nyeisha, Devaughn, and Jarrod. Eleven great grandchildren, Ava, Adrien, Nariyah, Nehmias, Kvonni, Naeli, Bella, Luis, Natalie, Layla, and Pearl. And a host of nieces and nephews. 

She was predeceased by several brothers and sisters. 

Her services and burial are private. The S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond  Hill Rd 1583 Diamond Hill Rd., Woonsocket, RI 02895 is in charge of the arrangements.
