Woonsocket - David A. Chattman, 62, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 3, 2023 in Landmark Medical Center with his family by his side. He was the husband of Teresa (Dagenais) Chattman of Woonsocket.
Born in Woonsocket, son of the late Alfonso and Bessie (Allen) Chattman.
David worked as a Policeman for the Woonsocket Police Department for 28 years, retiring in 2020.
He was a former member of the FOB, IBPO, and Police Relief Association.
He was also a coach for the Woonsocket Red Skins and Fair North Little League.
David enjoyed fishing, working out, loved to listen to music, play the guitar, and taking occasional trips to Las Vegas. He was an avid Patriot football fan.
He also loved to spend time with family and friends especially his three granddaughters.
Besides his wife Teresa he is survived by his two children, Megean Mansen and her husband Keith of Dunnellon, FL. and Jonathan Chattman and his wife Astrid of East Providence, RI. His siblings, Timothy Chattman of Oregon, Nathan Chattman of Pawtucket, Deborah Chattman of Providence, Beverly Wilson of So. Carolina, and Lisa Chattman of So. Carolina. His three granddaughters, Olivia Chattman, Avery Mansen, and Ariella Chattman.
Several nieces and nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his brother Samuel Chattman.
A Celebration of his Life will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2023 from 1-3 PM in the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket, RI 02895. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial will be at a later date.
