David G. Fortier

Woonsocket - David G. Fortier, 63, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 3, 2025 at home with his wife by his side. He was the husband of Lynn Golembeski of Woonsocket. 

Born in Woonsocket, son of Lorraine (Zia) Lambert of North Carolina and the late Richard Fortier. 

David worked as a Machinist for Precision Engineering in Uxbridge for several years. He enjoyed fishing, especially with his father whom he had a very close relationship, golfing, playing video games and attending concerts.

Besides his wife Lynn he is survived by his siblings, Michael R. Fortier and his husband Richard Amaral of AZ., Cheryl A. Fortier of Australia, Douglas G. Fortier of Woonsocket and Steven R. Fortier and his wife Pamela of NC. His two uncles, Gary Zia and his wife Rosalind of Mexico Beach, FL and George Fortier and his wife Rita of Woonsocket. And several nieces and nephews. 

A Funeral Home Service will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at 3:30PM in the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd Woonsocket, RI 02895. Relatives and friends are invited; calling hours are from 2-3:30 PM prior to the service. 

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cancer Society in David’s memory would be appreciated.
