North Smithfield - Donald N. Cayer, 75, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 18, 2024 in Hospice St. Antoine with his family by his side. He was the husband of Barbara S. (Eaton) Cayer of N. Smithfield.
Born in Woonsocket he was a son of the late Bertrand G. and Janet A. (Genereux) Cayer.
Donald worked as a Property Manager for Cox Communications.
He was a former member of the Coventry Mens Club. He loved to play pool and took part in many tournaments across the country. He also enjoyed trips to the casino.
If you knew Donald and what a great guy he was, there is no doubt he made you laugh. He was proud to be a husband, poppa, brother, uncle, friend, and father.
Besides his wife Barbara, he is survived by his three children, Hope A. Cayer of AZ., step daughter, Kimberly A. LaBreche and her husband Richard of Hope, RI., and Jason C. Chapman and his wife Cheryl of Warwick. His siblings, Bertrand Cayer of Johnston, Richard Cayer and his wife Germaine of Northboro, MA., Denise Brandenburg of Woonsocket, and Gerard Cayer and his wife Gail of Warwick. Four grandchildren, Kaylin Tokarski and her husband Brett, Sarah LaBreche, Jayce Chapman and Julianna Chapman. One great-grandchild, Jaxson Tokarski. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins. And two very special friends, honorary sisters-in-law, Sandra Lease and Carol Blosser.
A Funeral Home Service will be held on Friday, October 25, 2024 at 12:30 PM in the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket, RI 02895. Relatives and friends are invited; calling hours will be from 11AM-12:30PM prior to the service. Burial is private.
