Doris S. Fontaine

N. Smithfield - Doris S. (Gagnon) Fontaine, 93, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 23, 2024 in St. Antoine Residence with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of the late Lucien Fontaine. 

Born in Woonsocket, daughter of the late Amanda (Gagnon) Audette and step father Wilfred Audette.

Doris was a Homemaker and loved to spend time with her family and friends. She enjoyed playing cards and BINGO. 

She is survived by her 9 children, Susan Brizard and her husband Gerald of Wintersprings, FL., Lucien Fontaine and his long time companion Cheryl Morton of N. Smithfield, Richard Fontaine and his wife Linda of Woonsocket, Sandra Perrault of N. Smithfield, Denise Boisse of N. Smithfield, David Fontaine and his wife Tina Cotnoir of Deltona, FL., Debra Cotnoir of Cumberland, James Fontaine of N. Smithfield, and Dawn Castonguay and her husband James of N. Smithfield. Also a grandchild she raised, Paula Rasco from Pascoag, RI. 22 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great grandchildren. 

She was also the mother of the late Linda Roderick and sister of the late Roger Audette. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at 10 AM in St. Joseph Family Church 1200 Mendon Rd. Woonsocket, RI. Burial to follow will be in St. Charles Cemetery, Farm St. Blackstone, MA. Relatives and friends are invited; calling hours will be on Monday, December 9, 2024 from 5-7 PM in the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd Woonsocket, RI 02895.
