North Smithfield - Edward J. Doura Sr., 87, passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2024 in Rhode Island Hospital. He was the former husband of Jeanette (Barrows) Doura of Bellingham. 

Born in Woonsocket, son of the late James N. and Mahassen (Haddad) Doura.

Ed worked in Management for Ocean State Finishing Company for several years. He was also co-owner and operator of the former Beverly Club in Bellingham, MA. 

He enjoyed greyhound and horse racing, spending time with family and friends, he was an avid New England sports fan, and a car enthusiast.  

He is survived by one son, Edward J. Doura Jr. and his wife Jodie of N. Smithfield. One daughter, Deanna Fortier and her husband Steven of Bellingham. One sister, Lorraine Doura of Woonsocket. 

He was also the brother of the late Leo, George, Dorothy and Violet. 

His funeral services are private. The S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd., Woonsocket, RI 02895 are in charge of the arrangements.
