Erastus O. Ochondo

Woonsocket - Erastus O. Ochondo 70, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 22, 2022 at home with his loving family by his side. He was the husband of Dorothy Ominde of Woonsocket, RI. 

Born in Nairobi, Kenya., son of the late Isaac and Debrah (Okello) Ochondo. 

Erastus was an Instructor at Amazon. He obtained a Masters in Divinity. He enjoyed Evangelizing. He had a green thumb and enjoyed farming, singing, and traveling. 

Besides his wife Dorothy he is survived by his children, Kerina, Isaac, Ken, Debrah, Haron, Nancy, and Effy. Two sisters, Peres and Christabel. Three brothers, Barack, Polycarp, and Apollo. Five grandchildren, Rebekah, Abhishek, Amarisse, Katriel, and Lea. 

He was also the brother of the late Risper, Enock, and Walter. 

His Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at 12 noon in the Blackstone Valley Baptist Church, 40 Pineswamp Rd Cumberland, RI 02864. Relatives and friends are invited; calling hour is from 11AM to 12 noon prior to the service. Burial will be on September 8, 2022 in his home village in Migori, Kenya. The S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd Woonsocket, RI 02895 is in charge of the arrangements.
