THE OBITUARY OF GARRY L. CHAMBLEE

Garry L. Chamblee was born in Providence, Rhode Island. He was one of the two stepsons of Frederick Evans. He was one of two sons born to Lea J. Evans (formerly Chamblee) and Veron L. Chamblee, who had ties to North Carolina and Providence. Gary attended Central High School, Providence, RI. Also, he completed a Rhode Island state-run Hazard Material Technician Program. He was an entrepreneur who engaged in convenience stores as a co-owner with his closest friend, INIS, in which they both operated in both Boston and Providence. Also, he worked in a Deli and as a short-order cook as well as a warehouseman.
Garry is survived by his mother, Lea J Evans, formerly Chamblee. His brother and his Veron and wife Tammy Chamblee of Providence and his sister, Helen Haynes. A stepbrother, Frederick Paul Evans-Inniss of Spring Lake, NC, one step-sister, TaEsha Lon Evans-Ortega of Hagerstown, PA, and the late Darshara Lin Evans of Norfolk, VA. He is also survived by four aunts. Two maternal and their husbands, Patrica and Ernest Hewett of New London, and Alicia Cody. Two paternal aunts, Linda Jackson of Williamsburg, VA, and Yvonne Chamblee of West Warwick, RI. He also leaves a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews.
Many of his friends and associates will miss his mischievous smile and remember that
contagious laughter of his.
He was known to enjoy engaging with and for his best friends, cooking, playing cards, yard sales, and flea markets. He often visited casinos accompanied by his close friends Sandra Gibbons (Maiden Name) and her niece, Kenna.
Garry L. Chamblee, you will be missed by many. May you rest in peace.
