George Fontaine Obituary

Woonsocket — George L. “Beavis” Fontaine 53, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 30, 2021.

Born in Woonsocket, son of the late Raymond and Alice (Weseluk) Fontaine.

George worked in the Shipping and Receiving for Flock Tex for several years.

He enjoyed fishing, going to concerts, football, and hockey. He always rooted for his favorite teams, the Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres and loved to razz his friends who were Patriot fans. He also loved to spend time with family and friends.

He is survived by his four siblings, Donna Plante, Ann Fontaine, Tina Fontaine, and Leo Fontaine all of Woonsocket. His in-laws, Wayne Plante, Paul Nadeau, and Kevin Snoek. Several nieces and nephews and eight great-nieces and nephews.

He was also the brother to the late Raymond and Robert Fontaine.

His Services were private. The S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd.,m Woonsocket, RI 02895 were in charge of the arrangements.
