Gertrude E. Coutemanche

Woonsocket - Gertrude E. (Forget) Courtemanche, 101, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 in Hope Health Hospice. She was the wife of the late Vincent Courtemanche. 

Born in Woonsocket, daughter of the late Henry and Amanda (Ouellette) Forget. 

Gertrude was Packer for AT Cross for eighteen and half years prior to retiring. She was a member of St. Joseph Seniors, St. Agatha’s Seniors, and Bellingham Seniors. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed arts and crafts, camping, and going to the ocean and sitting on the beach. 

She is survived by her three children, Diana Lamothe of Woonsocket, Vincent Courtemanche and his wife Carol of Virginia, and Rachel Marsh and her husband Lee of Woonsocket. Seven grandchildren, Brian, Kenneth, Jamie, Elise, Eric, Stacey, Daniel, and Steven. And eleven great-grandchildren. 

She was also the sister of the late Raymond, Lillian, and Evelyn. 

A Mass of Christian of Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at 11 AM in St. Joseph Church 1200 Mendon Rd Woonsocket, RI 02895. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial will be private. The S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd Woonsocket, RI 02895 is in charge of the arrangements.
