Woonsocket — Gloria R. (Fiscaletti) Belknap 88, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 in Landmark Medical Center. She was the wife of the late James Belknap. They were married for 47 years.
Born in Woonsocket, daughter of the late Antonio and Yola (Valentini) Fiscaletti.
Gloria was a graduate of Woonsocket High School and was awarded three scholarships to attend Rhode Island Hospital School of Nursing, where after graduating she worked for seven years as a staff nurse and assistant head nurse. After starting her family she went on to work at Landmark Medical Center for 35 years prior to retiring.
She enjoyed traveling with her husband and being with family. She was an avid reader and enjoyed several crafts. Gloria was a RI Reads Tutor, and a member of St. Anthony’s Women’s Guild, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Italian Workingmen’s Club, the Senior Pitch League and Senior Bocce League.
She is survived by her two sons, Jeffrey Belknap of Woonsocket and Douglas Belknap of N. Providence. Two grandchildren, Brian and Michael. And three nephews. Gloria also leaves behind many good friends especially Michelle Wrona with whom she shared good times, great fun, and some very sad times.
She was also the sister of the late William Fiscaletti.
Her Funeral will be held on Monday, June 1, 2026 at 9AM from the S.DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket, RI with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM at St. Anthony’s Church 128 Green St. Woonsocket RI. Burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery Blackstone, MA. Relatives and friends are invited; Calling hours are on Sunday, May 31, 2026 from 1-3 PM.
