Grace F. LaRoche

Woonsocket - Grace F. LaRoche, 90, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, June 18, 2025.  She was the wife of Donald E. LaRoche. She married Don on August 20, 1955. 

She was born in Newport, RI, a daughter of Thomas and Grace Segerson.

Gracie enjoyed many things but truly enjoyed time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In her earlier years, she looked forward to spending time in South Carolina with her daughter, Karen,  son-in-law Bob, her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed dinner and a movie every week with her best friend, Marion. She remained very faithful to hair appointments every Friday. Holidays at her daughter’s in North Smithfield were always special where she enjoyed sitting by the fire. However, time with her grandchildren was her most treasured time.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her daughters, Betty Jean Lavigne and Lisa Ann Laroche of Woonsocket, Donna Marie Deragon and her husband Don of North Smithfield; a son Brian David LaRoche of the home. In addition to her children, she leaves behind her beloved grandchildren Jenna Savini, Jeffrey Lavigne (Erin), Matthew Lavigne, Megan Savini, Nicholas Savini (Rachel), Jessica Allard, Drew Deragon, Devon Deragon, and Jeffery Belair; treasured great grandchildren Caroline Thierfelder, Madison Allard, Emma Hatfield, Abigail Allard, Lauryn Thierfelder, Bryce Hatfield, Mason Coffey, Cameron Savini, Landon Savini, Violet Allard, Mya Lavigne; a great-great grandchild Jesse Rivers.  

She was preceded in death by her daughter Karen T Savini and also her son-in-law Bob Savini both in 2009.

During this time, the family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to the staff at Beacon Hospice with special thanks to staff: Brooklyn, Megan, Mary, and Christy.  

The family and friends of Mrs Grace F LaRoche are invited to attend her visiting hours at S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, Woonsocket Chapel on Sunday, June 29, 2025  from 3-5PM.

A Mass will be determined at a later date.
