Gwendolyn Cole Obituary

Woonsocket - Gwendolyn V. (McDaniel) Cole, 69, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 in her home. She was the wife of the late Charles E. Cole. 

Born in Boston, daughter of the late Robert and Lydia McDaniel. 

Gwen was a Skills Instructor at Seven Hills/Homestead Group for 25 years. She loved watching wrestling and listening to music. She had a green thumb and was a great cook. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She was everyone's caregiver, and she was the greatest mom. She also had an infectious laugh that would make everyone around her break out into laughter. 

She is survived by her two daughters, Tara Barlett and her husband Matt of Woburn, MA and Lydia Morris-Dow and her fiancé Corey Dow of NC. Three sisters, Linda of TX, Cassandra of Foxboro, and Cynthia of Pawtucket. One brother, Christopher of TX, and three grandchildren, Zariah, Iliana, and Samantha. She also leaves behind three fur grandbabies, Charlie, Penelope, and Oscar, and her canine companion, Amber. 

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, April 7, 2024 from 12-1PM in the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd., Woonsocket, RI 02895. Relatives and friends are invited; calling hour is from 11AM-12PM. Burial will be private.
