Woonsocket — Helen G. (Gervais) Ciffo 98, passed away peacefully Sunday, January 24, 2021 in the Ballou Home with her daughter by her side. She was the wife of the late William “Bill” Ciffo.
Born in Woonsocket, daughter of the late Lionel and Cecile (Cloutier) Gervais.
Helen worked in the drawing room at French Worsted for several years until retiring.
She was past President of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Italian Working Men’s Club and a former member of the Des Dames De St. Anne and Secretary of the FOP.
Helen was an avid bowler and played on the Senior League in Greenville. She also enjoyed playing cards especially Michigan rummy, going to the Casino, and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter Jocelyn Ciffo of Woonsocket and several nieces and nephews.
She was also the sister of the late Maurice Gervais, Jean René Gervais, and Simone Cloutier.
Her Funeral will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at 9 AM from the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket, RI 02895 with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in All Saints Church, Rathbun St. Woonsocket, RI. Burial will be in St Jean the Baptist Cemetery Bellingham, MA.
Relatives and friends are invited; calling hours are on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 from 5-7 PM. Covid guidelines to be followed and social distancing required along with mask.
