Ida C. Acquisto

Woonsocket - Ida C. (Spearman) Acquisto, 70, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 9, 2026 at home. She was the wife of the late Phillip Acquisto. 

Born in Woonsocket she was the daughter of the late Willie Spearman Sr. and Lula (Harmon) M. Spearman. 

Ida enjoyed dancing, listening to music, fishing, comedy, acting goofy to make people laugh, and spending time with family and friends. She was very well known in the community. 

She is survived by her two children, Eric Spearman of MA and Carrie Davenport of Ohio. Two sisters, Nancy Johnson of CA and Joan Spearman of Woonsocket. And a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.    

She was also the mother of the late Irwin E. Spearman and sister of the late, Maxie Spearman Sr., Harry Spearman, Lorretta Hobbs, David Spearman, Willie Spearman Jr., Franklin Spearman and George Spearman. 

A Funeral Home Service will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at 3PM in the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket, RI 02895. Relatives and friends are invited; Calling hours are from 1-3PM prior to the service. Burial will be private.
