Cumberland - Jack H. Marzini, 83, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 23, 2025 at home with his loving family by his side. He was the husband of Rene C. (Gill) Marzini of Cumberland.
Born in Woonsocket, son of the late Biagio C. and Jeannette (Bibeau) Marzini.
He was a United States Navy Veteran.
Jack worked for the Woonsocket Police Department for 23 years and retiring in 1996 and then took the position as Superintendent of St. Charles Cemetery for 20 years. He was a former member of Fraternal Order of Police and Post 14 in Cumberland.
He enjoyed sitting on the beach, collecting antiques, enjoyed listening to old time radio stories, was an avid story teller and was a lover of animals and was often called, "the animal whisperer" by friends and family. He also enjoyed reading about history.
Besides his wife Rene, he is survived by his four children, Sandra Marzini of CA, Jason Marzini and his wife Alyson of Woonsocket, Melissa Ayodele of N. Smithfield, and Megan Gill and her significant other Jonathan Acosta of Woonsocket and one step daughter, Diane Boisselle of Woonsocket. Eleven grandchildren, Thomas, Jacob, Jasmine, Emily, Dee Dee, Kahdeja, Aiden, Ameira, Jahsiel, Jaziyus, and Olivia. And one great grand daughter, Autumn. He also leaves behind his feline companion Garfield.
He was also the pet parent of late Odie the parrot.
A Funeral Home Service will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at 11 AM in the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd Woonsocket, RI 02895. Burial to follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Farm St., Blackstone MA. Relatives and friends are invited; calling hours will be on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 from 4-7 PM.
