North Smithfield - Janet A. (Berube) Ballou, 84, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 2, 2023 in Landmark Medical Center with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Louis E. Ballou Jr.
Born in Woonsocket, daughter of the late Henry and Doris (Boisseau) Berube.
Janet was a Senior Underwriter for Amica for 24 years prior to retiring. She was also a Substitute Teacher at Woonsocket School System and worked at Bonte Spinning for several years.
She was a former member of the Elks. She enjoyed watching game shows, making trips to the casino, and spending time with family and friends. She was an avid fan of the WNBA especially the Connecticut Sun. She was also a PPAC season ticket holder. She was dedicated to her faith and said the Rosary daily.
She is survived by her two children, Patricia and her wife Margaux Reinoso of Charlton, MA and John Ballou and his wife Lisa of Blackstone, MA. And four grandchildren, Conor Ballou, Kayla Ballou, Josiah Rosas, and Caiden Rosas. And a host of nieces and nephews. Two sisters-in-law, Deanne Gregory and Kathleen Ballou.
Her Funeral will be held on Friday, October 6, 2023 at 9AM from the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd., Woonsocket, RI 02895 with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM in Holy Trinity Church Park Ave, Woonsocket, RI 02895. Burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery Farm St. MA. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours are on Thursday, October 5, 2023 from 4-7PM.
