North Smithfield - Jeannette T. Lavallee, 95, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, January 21, 2024 with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Roger Lavallee.
Born in Woonsocket, daughter of the late Wilfred and Clara (Rousseau) Dufault.
Jeannette worked as an assembler for AT Cross for several years and also worked as a cleaning lady for the State of Rhode Island for 16 years prior to retiring.
She was very active member in Precious Blood Church and served as a Eucharistic Minister and a Reader.
Jeannette enjoyed spending time with her family. She was an avid walker, doing hook rugs, embroidery, and crocheting.
She is survived by one daughter Irene Bergeron and her husband Leon of North Smithfield, RI. One granddaughter Chérie (Bergeron) Monte and her husband Joseph of Connecticut. Three great-grandchildren, Tyler Monte and his wife McKenna, of Connecticut Jacob Monte of Connecticut and Alyssa Monte of Connecticut. And one great-great-granddaughter Morgan, of Connecticut.
Jeannette was the sister of the late Eugene Dufault, Rita Almeida, Georgette Lebon, Pauline Cotnoir, Yvette Dufault, Wilfred Dufault, and Conrad Dufault.
Her Funeral will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at 10 AM from the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket, RI 02895 with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in Precious Blood Church, Carrington Ave. Woonsocket, RI 02895 Relatives and friends are invited; calling hours are on Wednesday from 4-7 PM. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in her memory would be appreciated.
