JoAnne L. Turgeon 

Woonsocket - JoAnne L. (Garcia) Turgeon, 79, passed away on Friday, October 03, 2025 in RI Hospital with her family by her side. She was the wife of Romeo Turgeon of Woonsocket. 

Born in Woonsocket, daughter of the late George and Anna (Monteiro) Garcia. 

JoAnne worked as an Inmates Accounts Specialist for Wyatt Detention Facility. She was a homebody though she enjoyed socializing with family and friends, she enjoyed going out to dinner, enjoyed traveling especially taking trips to Florida, and watching Hallmark channel movies. 

Besides her husband Romeo, she is survived by her two brothers, William Garcia and his wife Norma of Shrewsbury, MA., and Gary Garcia and his wife Sandra of Harrisville, RI. Four God children, Michelle, Lori, Keith, and Morgan. And several nieces and nephews. 

Her funeral will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at 9 AM from the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd Woonsocket, RI 02895 with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Anthony Church, 128 Greene St. Woonsocket, RI. Burial will be in St. Jean the Baptist Cemetery, Wrentham Rd, Bellingham, MA 02019. Relatives and friends are invited; Calling hours are on Friday, October 10, 2025 from 4-6PM. 

In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in JoAnne’s name would be appreciated.
