Woonsocket - John C. Baldelli, 58, of North Smithfield, RI, formerly of Woonsocket, died April 30, 2025, at Landmark Medical Center. After battling various serious illnesses for years, John passed away surrounded by his loving, extended family.
John is survived by his wife, Ann (Kellaher) Baldelli; his father and stepmother Charles and Jeannette Baldelli; his daughter, Kristie Baldelli; his stepdaughter, Kristin Silva, and grandson Caleb Silva; his aunt, Sandrina Baldelli, and several cousins. He was pre-deceased by his grandmother, Marina Baldelli Brunetti, and his stepbrother, Jon Newlander.
John graduated from Woonsocket High School and was employed by the Woonsocket Highway Department for 30 years before his retirement in 2020. John enjoyed playing the drums, shooting pool, playing cards at the Italian Workingmen’s Club, sharing jokes and news with his Facebook friends, and especially time spent with his grandson. John always had a special place in his heart for animals, particularly Kitty, his feline companion of many years. John was a kind and gentle soul who had a sunny disposition and a smile for everyone. His memory will live in our hearts.
The family extends a special “Thank You” to North Smithfield Fire and Rescue and the staff of the Landmark Medical Center ICU and Emergency Department for their outstanding care.
Calling hours are Monday, May 12, from 4:00PM – 5:30PM at the S.DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1583 Diamond Hill Road, Woonsocket, RI. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of John.
