Providence — John F. Winston 52 passed away on Friday, September 18, 2020 in Roger Williams Medical Center.
Born in Memphis TN, son of the late Joseph and Sally B. (Horton) Winston.
John worked as a prep cook for Wendy’s prior to becoming disabled.
He was affiliated with Amish House, Open Doors, and Agape.
He loved to write poems, draw, sing, dance, socialize with family and friends, and enjoyed taking care of his nieces and nephews when needed. He was a very happy go lucky person, open hearted, and free spirited.
He is survived by his five siblings, Willie Jackson of Woonsocket, Julius Jackson of Woonsocket, Mary Winston of Boston, Joseph Winston Jr. of Woonsocket, and Theresa Winston of Woonsocket. And several nieces and nephews.
He was also the brother of the late Hubert L. Jackson and Danny L. Winston.
A Funeral Home Service will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 12 noon in the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket, RI 02895. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will be private.
