Karen Martin Obituary

Blackstone - Karen A. (LeBlanc) Martin, 73, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 after a short battle with cancer.  Karen passed while surrounded by loved ones and in the kind and skilled care of Countryside Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. She was the wife of Henry Martin of Blackstone, MA.

Born in Woonsocket, she was predeceased by her parents, Raymond and Katherine (Cronan) LeBlanc, and her beloved brother David LeBlanc.

Karen was a hard worker who held various positions at a number of local companies, creating many close friendships which she cherished throughout her life.

Karen was a social person who loved engaging in lively conversations, playing a good game of BINGO, camping with family and friends and watching NASCAR races. She was a member of the Blackstone Senior Center and enjoyed participating in the activities and trips with her friends there.  Karen was proud of her faith and attended Mass as regularly as she could.  Florida was a favorite place for her to spend time, being near a pool or ocean always made her happy.  But Karen was happiest when with her family.

Besides her husband, Henry, and his family, she is survived by her three sons, Brian Levasseur of Dennis, MA, Jeffrey Levasseur and his wife Jennifer of Hopedale, MA., and Paul Levasseur Jr. of Blackstone, MA. Karen adored her five grandchildren, Katelyn, Braden, Chase, Lucas and Mason as well as her one great-grandchild, Nova.  Karen’s extended family was just as important to her as her immediate family.  She will be dearly missed by countless in-laws, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
