Cumberland — Kathryn M. (Leduc) Dumais, 81, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 13, 2025 in the Woonsocket Health Center with her family by her side. She was the wife of Gerald R. Dumas.
Born in Providence, daughter of the late Charles E. and Doris T. (Hunt) Leduc.
Kathy worked as a Medical Assistant for the Office of Dr. Alexander Phillips for 30 years.
She enjoyed spending time with family and friends especially her grandchildren, and her late feline companions, Mocha and Java. She also enjoyed quilting and reading.
She was a member of the Woonsocket School Committee, the Zoning Board, the Democratic City Committee and she was also on the board of the Fair North Little League.
Besides her husband Gerry she is survived by her two children, Bethany Sanford and her husband Sean of Cumberland and Jon Dumais and his fiancé Donna Gamache of Woonsocket. Five grandchildren, Jennifer, Eric, Zachary, Abigail and Ryan. Five great grandchildren, Hadley, Wyatt, Aubriella, Remy, and Jake.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at 11 AM in St. John’s Church, 63 Church St. Slatersville, RI 02896. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited; calling hours are on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 from 4-6. PM in the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket, RI 02895
