Woonsocket - Lawrence "Larry" H. Gardner Jr., 72, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 in Landmark Medical Center with his loving family by his side. He was the former husband of the late Dianne Pasquerillo and the significant other the late Laura Ciraso for 27 years.
Born in Milford, MA., son of the late Lawrence H. and Lillian (Guyette) Gardner Sr.
Larry started working construction with his father at age 12 and was owner/operator of Gardner Carpentry for all of the years prior to retiring in 2022, where he taught the trade to many people. He was a boxer in his younger days. He was also a drummer/guitarist and enjoyed jamming whenever he had a chance. He enjoyed listening to music, and spending time with family and friends. Larry was a party animal and did everything with his kids and family until he became a grandfather, after which he became calm and very involved with his grandchildren, whom he loved dearly.
He is survived by his three children, Nicole Gardner of Woonsocket, Teresa Gardner-Eldridge and Tom Galipeau of Woonsocket, and Joseph Gardner of Woonsocket. His three step-daughters, Brandi Holbrook, Nichole Holbrook, and Alicia Holbrook, all of Woonsocket. One brother, Gary Hogarth and wife Nomi of Arizona and one sister, Loralyn Gardner of Iowa. Nine grandchildren, Randi, Danny, David, Kalie, Jordan, James, Jared, Logan, and Charlie. One great-grandchild, Xavier. And several nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his memories of his deceased canine companion, Trixie.
He was also the brother of the late Martha Talamini and Susan Boucher.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 20, 2024 in the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd.Woonsocket, RI 02895. Relatives and friends are invited; Calling hours will be from 1-3 PM. A Celebration of Life gathering will follow and is to be announced.
