Manville - Leo E. Lapierre, 93, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 23, 2023 at home with his loving family by his side. He was the husband of Gloria T. (Adam) Lapierre of Manville.
Born in Woonsocket, son of the late Leo and Jeannette (Malo) Lapierre.
Mr. Lapierre worked for Garelick Farms for 20 years.
He was a United States Navy Veteran.
Leo enjoyed spending time with family, especially his grandchildren, going for walks, and enjoyed spending time at the beach. He loved taking care of his dogs; a lover of Golden Retrievers.
Besides his wife Gloria, he is survived by one daughter, Debra Pelletier and her husband Kenneth of Cumberland. Three sons, Leo Lapierre, Bruce Lapierre and his wife Cheryl, and James Lapierre. One sister, Doris Lanctot of North Smithfield. Five grandchildren, Ashley, Lindsey, Lauren, Brittany, and Jordan.
He was also the father of the late Gail Lapierre and brother to the late Pauline Beaudet and Claire Laroche.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 10 AM in St. James Church 33 Division St., Manville, RI. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. James Cemetery Old River Rd., Lincoln. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours are respectfully omitted.
