Lucienne Cote Obituary

Woonsocket - Lucienne L. (Sylvestre) Cote, 81, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at the Friendly Home with her family by her side. She was the wife of André R. Cote Sr. of Woonsocket. Lucienne and André were married for 63 years. 

Born in Woonsocket, daughter of the late Mederic and Lucianne (Remillard) Sylvestre.

Lucienne worked as an Inspector for the Foxboro Company for 20 years prior to retiring. 

She was former President of Parkview Manor Social Club from 2002-2010. She was on the Woonsocket Housing Authority Board of Tenants for 10 years serving as the Commissioner of the WHA, and WHA Chairman for 2 years. She also served on the WHA Residency Advisory Board. She was a member of the St. Vincent DePaul Society, was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Augustine’s Church and Vice President of the Blackstone Millville Regional Music Association. 

Lucienne enjoyed her many trips to the casino, playing pitch, bingo, crocheting and enjoyed her social clubs. She especially loved family gatherings and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren whom she cherished. 

Besides her husband André, she is survived by her three children, André Cote Jr. and his wife Mary of Cape Coral, FL, Annette Weagle and her husband Steven of Oxford, MA, and Christopher Cote and his wife Brenda of Escondido, CA. Eight Grandchildren; Derek, Holly Ann, Kyle, Austin, Rowan, Reannan, Alessandra, and Maddison. One sister, Gertrude Swann and her husband Robert of Portsmouth, RI.

She was also the grandmother to the late Logan Cote.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at 11AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church 190 N. Main St. Woonsocket, RI 02895. Burial will be at a later date.
