Lucille R. Lavoie

N. Smithfield - Lucille R. (Gentes) Lavoie, 97, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 16, 2024 in the Friendly Nursing Home with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of the late Raymond E. Lavoie. 

Born in Linwood, MA daughter of the late Henry and Rose (Cotnoir) Gentes Jr. 

Lucille was a Waitress for Felici Sons of Italy Restaurant. She was a member of St. Agath’s Seniors, St Joseph Seniors, the American Legion, the VFW in N. Smithfield

She enjoyed playing cards, cooking, knitting, taking occasional trips to the casino, and playing BINGO. Lucille also enjoyed celebrating the Holidays, especially decorating and dressing for all the seasons.  

She is survived by her two children, Ronald Lavoie of Pawtucket and Judith Pachomski and her husband Peter of Cumberland. Four grandchildren, Scott, Jamie, Jody, and Kerri. And four great grandchildren, Evan, Cooper, Mila, and Alison. 

She was also the sister to the late Theresa Sraracy, Alice Boudreau, Lillian Pouliot, Rita Valentini, Norman Gentes, Rene Gentes, and Harvey Gentes. And grandmother to the late Melissa Lavoie. 

Her Services are private. The S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd, Woonsocket RI is in charge of the arrangements.
