Luis Jesus Medina-Albizu

Woonsocket - Luis Jesus Medina-Albizu, 54, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 7, 2025 in Landmark Medical Center with his family by his side.

Born in Rio Piedras, PR he was the son of Herminia Albizu of Woonsocket and the late Ismael Medina.

Luis enjoyed fishing, fixing cars and bicycles and spending his time with family and friends especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his three children, Jesmarie Medina and her husband Felix Andino of Woonsocket, Jessica Medina and her husband Carlos Rivera of Woonsocket, and Gabriela Medina-Rivera of Woonsocket. His siblings, Clara Medina-Albizu of PR, and Luis Ruben Medina-Albizu of Worcester, MA.,and most important was his sister Lucy Medina-Albizu of Central Falls. Eleven grandchildren and his close friend, Wandy Rivera.

A Celebration of Life is to be held at a later date. The S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd, Woonsocket, RI 02895 is in charge of the arrangements.
