Woonsocket — Lula Mae (Harmon) Spearman 99, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 21, 2022 in St. Antoine Residence with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of Willie B. Spearman.
Born in Newberry S. Carolina, daughter of the late Edward “Sapp” and Henretta (Byrd) Harmon.
Lula was a Laborer and worked for Rubber Shop for several years before retiring. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, fishing, and loved talking to someone for several hours.
Left to cherish the memories of Lula Mae are her children, Nancy Johnson and her husband Harvey of CA, Maxie Spearman Sr. of Woonsocket, Ida Aquisto or Woonsocket, Joan Spearman of Woonsocket, and Maxie Spearman Jr. of Woonsocket. Daughter in law, Joanna Spearman. A host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. And several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her children Harry Spearman Sr., Franklin Spearman, Loretta Hobbes, David Spearman, Willie B. Spearman Jr. and George Spearman Sr. and her sisters Bessie Pearl Harmon, Bennie Ree Moore, and Lucy Mae Evans.
A Funeral Home Service will be held on Friday, January 28, 2022 at 5:30 PM in the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket, RI 02895. Burial will be private. Relatives and friends are invited; calling hours are from 4-5:30 PM.
