Manuel M. Jordao

Woonsocket - Manuel “Manny” M. Jordao 77, passed away Thursday, June 23, 2022 in Rhode Island Hospital with his loving family by his side.

Born in St. Michael, Portugal son of the late Mariano and Louisa (Sousa) Jordao.

Manny worked as an X-ray Welder and Machinist for Framingham Welding and Engineering for 10 years. He also worked for Medway Schools as Head of the Maintenance Department for 14 years prior to retiring.

He was a “Jack of all trades,” taking on construction repairs and remodeling jobs for family, after retiring from Medway School Department, Manny worked and helped his sons with their current Contracting Businesses. He enjoyed working around the house, loved to go out to eat Portuguese Cuisine, fishing, cooking, and going clamming.

Beside his loving wife Ilda, he is survived by his two sons, Manny and John Jordao both of Woonsocket. Two sisters, Romana Jordao of Woonsocket and Alice Arujo of Portugal. Six grandchildren, Gabriel, Anthony, Gianna, Liana, Shayla, and Aidan. And several loving nieces and nephews.

He was also the father of the late Michael Jordao. And brother to the late Virgilio Jordao and Frank Jordao. And grandfather to the late Alana Jordao.

His Funeral will be held on Friday, July 1, 2022 at 9AM from the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd Woonsocket, RI 02895 with Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM in St. Anthony Church Greene St., Woonsocket. Burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery Farm St. MA. Relatives and friends are invited; calling hours are on Thursday, June 30, 2022 from 5-8PM.
