Maria A. Alves

Woonsocket - Maria A. (Rodrigues) Alves 89 passed away on Monday, October 25, 2021 in Landmark Medical Center with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Gervasio Alves.

Born in Portugal, daughter of the late Antonio and Constancia (A. DaSilva) Rodrigues.

Maria was a Homemaker. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, gardening, cooking for her family, and keeping everyone in line.

She is survived by her five children, Armando Alves and his wife Normanda of Woonsocket, Alfredo Alves and Mario Alves of Woonsocket, Isabel LaCroix and her husband Matthew of Mapleville, and Natalie Biron and her husband Wayne of Pascoag. One sister, Gloria Faria of S. Attleboro. Seven grandchildren, Jospeh, David, Nathan, Dominic, J’nesa, Maximus, and Hailey.

She was also the sister of the late, Alzira, Alfredo, Armando, and Francisco.

A Mass of Christian Burial  will be held on Friday October 29,2021 at 12 noon in All Saints Church Rathbun St. Woonsocket, RI. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery, Manville, RI. Relatives and friends are invited; Calling hours are from 9-11 AM in the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket, RI 02895 prior to Mass.
