Maria V. Lesieur

Woonsocket — Maria V. (Lozada) Lesieur 82 passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2020 in Rhode Island Hospital. She was the wife of the late Robert Lesieur.

Born in El Salvador, daughter of the late Mirtala Lozada.

Maria worked in Customer Service for Cox Communication for 20 years prior to retiring.

She loved gardening, cooking, her aquariums, and animals. Maria also enjoyed knitting and made several blankets and hats for the infants in the hospital along with her knitting group from St. Joseph Church. She also enjoyed spending time with her great grandson Bentley whom she loved very much.

She is survived by her two children, Jesse Lesieur of Woonsocket, and Maryann Schabowski and her husband Mark of FL. Four grandchildren and one great grandson.

She was predeceased in death by several brothers and sisters.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, January 8, 2021 at 10:30 AM in  St. Joseph Church 1200  Mendon Rd. Woonsocket, RI. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland, RI. Relatives and friends are invited. The S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket, RI 02895 is in charge of the arrangements.
