Maria Omiunu Obituary
Born in Sabongida-Ora, Nigeria, daughter of the late Samuel and Titi (Ahonkhai) Ikhile.
Maria was owner and operator of a convenience store and restaurant for several years in Nigeria prior to retiring.
She enjoyed playing Bingo at the nursing home with friends, watching sports on television and she knew all the players names, and enjoyed watching the Christian Channel.
She is survived by her five children, Julius Omiunu and his wife Bose of Woonsocket, David Omiunu and his wife Glory of Mansfield, MA. Queen Omiunu, and Folorunsho Omiunu both of London, England and Femi Omiunu and his wife Nana of Lagos, Nigeria. One brother, Eddy Jamo-Ikhile of Nigeria and one sister, Grace Makanju of Nigeria. And eight grandchildren.
She was also the mother of the late Sunday, John, and Akaeta and sister of late Ojo (Mama Akure)
A Funeral Home Service will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at 11 AM in the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket, RI 02895.
Relatives and friends are invited; visitation is one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 AM. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland, RI.
Social distancing will be observed.
