Martin Bates Obituary
Woonsocket - Martin F. Bates, 78, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 7, 2025 in RI Hospital with his family by his side. He was the husband of the late Theresa (Therrien) Bates.
Born in Fall River, MA., son of the late Francis Bates and Agnes (Paul) Kingman.
Martin worked in the maintenance department at the YMCA and was also a spray painter for Rose Craft for several years prior to retiring. He enjoyed listening to music, fishing, had an appreciation for nature, and was an animal lover.
He is survived by two sisters, Sandra Krupski of Woonsocket and Cynthia Gill of Woonsocket. Several nieces and nephews and his companion, Patricia Campbell of Woonsocket.
He was also the brother of the late James Bates, Nelson Bates, Alan Bates, and Garrison Bates.
