Pascoag — Mary J. (Jillson) Barnett, 81, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 in Hope Hospice. She was the wife of the late Robert C. Barnett Jr.
Born in Providence, daughter of the late William and Madeline (Beaudreau) Jillson.
Mary worked as a Registered Nurse for Landmark Medical Center and also for Fatima Hospital prior to retiring.
She was a member of the Woonsocket Historical Society and enjoyed tracing genealogy, especially her family and her husband. Mary enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was a dedicated wife and mother. She also enjoyed crocheting, music, ceramics, arts, and crafts. Above all, nursing was her passion.
She is survived by her four siblings, Joel Jillson of North Smithfield, James Jillson of Pawtucket, Margaret Boisclair of Woonsocket, and Maureen Mailloux of Pascoag. And several nieces and nephews.
She was also the mother of the late David Barnett and Richard Barnett and mother in law to the late Patricia Barnett and sister to the late Timothy Jillson, Christine Craig-Cooke, and Lucy Jillson.
A Funeral Home Service will be held on Monday, January 27, 2025 at 12 noon in the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill RD. Woonsocket, RI 02895. Burial will be in Union Cemetery North Smithfield, RI 02896. Relatives and friends are invited; calling hour is from 11-12 noon prior to the service.
