Matthew R. Reda

Lincoln — Matthew R. “Matt” Reda, 54, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Hope Health Hospice in Providence with his loving wife, family and friends by his side. 

He was the beloved husband of Kristen L. (Vongsa) Reda of Lincoln, RI.

Born in Rochester, NY, son of the late Nicholas R. Reda and Connie J. (Parks) Reda of Rochester, NY.

Besides his loving wife Kristen, he is survived by his son Nicholas Roman Matthew Reda of Lincoln, RI. Four daughters, Sarah Bickerstaff and her husband Warren of NC, Samantha Reda and her significant other Kristian Ghorski of NC, Julia Mallow and her husband Matt of NY and Amanda Reda. One sister Teresa Parkman of NC and one brother Daniel Reda of PA. And one granddaughter Ariel. 

Matt was the Director of Environmental Services for Landmark Medical Center for eleven years.

Matt was a very caring, warm, and thoughtful person who made friends wherever he went. He loved to ride his motorcycle, play billiards, fly his drone, go shopping, play video games, watch TV and cook. Matt always had a positive outlook on life no matter the challenge. He lived every day with a smile on his face and a goal to put a smile on others. He was an absolute inspiration to anyone who had the honor of knowing him.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Matt on Saturday, January 20, 2024 from 2-5 PM in the S.DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket, RI 02895. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial will be private.
