Saugus, MA — May R. Roy 81, formerly of Woonsocket passed away in Melrose Wakefield Hospital on Monday, March 1, 2021. She was the 15 year companion of the late Frank Jones Jr.
Born in Woonsocket, daughter of the late Vernon and Aurore (Benoit.) Gross.
May worked on the assembly line for the Peter Pan Ice Cream Company prior to retiring. She enjoyed playing BINGO, playing the Keno machines, going to Twin River, cooking for her family, listening to Elvis Presley, and family gatherings. Her biggest pride and joy of all were her two sons and she especially enjoyed her grandchildren the most.
She is survived by her two sons, Albert Ball of Narragansett and Jeremy Jones Sr. of Saugus, MA. Four brothers, Vernon Gross of North Smithfield, Richard Gross of PA, and Lucien Menard and Edmund Menard both of Woonsocket. Four sisters, Theresa Bourget of Woonsocket and Denise Bourget of Pawtucket, Ellen Bergeron and Laura Tellier both of Woonsocket.
Fifteen grandchildren; Anthony, Cassie, Becky, Harley, Chase, Wade, Sean, Danja, Jada, Taylor, Jeremy Jr., Jayden, April, Jessica and Crystal. Five great grandchildren; Carla Marie, Abrianna, Gianni, and Anthony Jr.
She was also the sister of the late Roland Gross and her late granddaughter Amanda.
A Funeral Home Service will be held on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at 11:30 AM in the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd Woonsocket, RI 02895. Burial to follow in Union Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited. Visitation is from 10 AM to 11:30 AM before the Service begins. Social distancing and masks required.
