Blackstone — Michael D. Barroso, 65, passed away peacefully Friday, May 7, 2021 in Milford Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Denise (Langelier) Barroso for 38 years.
Born in Woonsocket, son of the late Dominic and Mary (L’Esperance) Barroso.
Michael worked as a cook for Sylvia’s Cafe for many years, Town Chef, and for CVS warehouse starting in 1988 prior to retiring.
He was past President of the Cercle Laurier, a member of the Italian Workingmen’s Club, and the Millerville Men’s Club.
He enjoyed bowling, golfing, and was highly active at the Cercle Laurier. He also enjoyed an occasional Bud Light, especially while watching his favorite football team, The New York Giants. He was also an avid Red Sox and Boston Bruins fan.
Besides his wife Denise, he is survived by his two children, Amanda Barroso of Woonsocket and Christopher Barroso and his wife Tyler Nicole of Conway, SC. A sister, Cheryl Jason of Glocester, RI. One granddaughter, Kennedy Glenn Barroso.
The family would like to thank Milford Regional Medical Center ER staff, along with an incredibly special and heartfelt thanks to the entire staff of the 4th floor at Milford Regional Medical Center, the nurses, physicians, CNAs, and support staff for the fantastic care Michael received. Thank you to all the Teams.
A Funeral Home Service will be held on Friday, May 14, 2021 at 6 PM in the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Relatives and friends are invited; calling hours are from 4-6 PM. Burial will be private Woonsocket, RI 02895.
