Woonsocket — Michael Wilson, 67, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 13, 2026 in Landmark Medical Center with his family by his side.
Born in Woonsocket, he was the beloved son of the late Columbus and Dora (Byrd) Wilson.
Michael was a devoted member of St. James Baptist Church, where he faithfully served as a member of both the Senior and Sanctuary Choirs. A talented singer, he expressed his deep faith through music and was unwavering in his devotion to the Lord. Known for his gentle spirit and warm personality, Michael was well liked and sociable, and seemed to know everyone in the community.
He leaves to cherish his memory his three siblings: Delilah Coakley of Georgia; Ricky Wilson of Woonsocket; and Joyce Jones and her husband, Roderick, of Georgia; along with a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
His Memorial Service will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. James Baptist Church, 340 South Main Street, Woonsocket, RI 02895. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Burial to follow in Union Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Michael’s memory may be made to the Activities Department at Valley View and Rehabilitation Center, 4 St. Joseph Street, Woonsocket, RI 02895.
