Michelle L Blais

Woonsocket - Michelle L. (Laplante) Blais, 69, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 31, 2024 in Rhode Island Hospital with her family by her side. She was the former wife of Richard J. Blais of Missouri. Michelle lived at Crepeau Court for many years, she had many friends and loved them all. 

Born in Boston, daughter of the late Rene N. and Lillian C. (Hurteau) Laplante. 

Michelle worked as a Packer for Economy Sales and Services for several years  prior to retiring. 
 
She enjoyed playing BINGO, taking occasional trips to the casino, cooking and baking, shopping, fishing, buying gifts for others, and spending time with family. She especially loved her feline companions, Cali and Baby Girl.  

She is survived by two children, Christina Krause of Woonsocket and Laurie Hadges of NC. And one grandson, James Krause Jr. of CT. She was also survived by her companion, Michael Fournier of Woonsocket.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024 from 3-5 PM in the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd., Woonsocket, RI 02895. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial will be private.
